Fort Kilsby, a collective of three key writers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Blending Soul, Hip Hop and Rock, creating a unique experience, while combining live instrumentation, samples and visuals. Primarily an instrumental group, Fort Kilsby makes use of guest musicians and vocalists in a collaborative effort to keep things fresh. To date, the collective have joined forces with local and international guests including Stewart Hill (Dead Letter Circus), Quan Yeoman (Regurgitator), Paul Atkins (Tea Party Crew), Ian Perez (Wolfmother) and Abstract Rude (Freestyle Fellowship) USA. The current self titled EP, recorded at their home studios, with additional parts recorded and mixed at Blackbox Studios in Brisbane. Mixed by Allan Mawdsley UK, who has been involved in many great releases including Roots Manuvas Run Come Save Me - Dj Vadims Sound catcher, MJ Coles Sincere and Resin Dogs More. The EP will be made available 2012 in both CD and 12" vinyl formats. Key members include: Monkwhy (Keys,Turntables, MPC, Beard) played in Monkey Wacks, Hung, and produces his own music spanning various genres. Matt Napier (Guitar, MPC) has played in various bands from Resin Dogs, Blonde on Blonde, Sol Terra and Hung also has been involved in various productions, Tony McCall (Drums, MPC) played in Ochre, Final Days of Autumn, Resin Dogs, Mary Trembles, Hoo Haa, and with Quan Yeomans solo project.
